The College of Engineering and Petroleum in Kuwait University is committed to provide quality engineering education for the twenty first century. The educational programmes have been influenced by the needs of the society and the vision of the administration and faculty to make the College the leading college in engineering in the Middle East. The curriculum of the Program of Architecture is a five year program that offers the degree of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) (Compulsory courses; History of Islamic Art & Architecture,  History of Architecture in the Islamic Age, Middle east Modern Art & Architecture).

All engineering programs at the College of Engineering and Petroleum are evaluated by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). ABET is the accreditation agency for Engineering Programs in the United States of America. It recognizes non-US programs as "substantially equivalent" to those accredited programs in the USA.
